The people of thegreenpages.ca network reads the news and scans the web on a daily (even hourly) basis throughout their work day. We belong to hundreds of listservs, mailing lists, community networks, social clubs, and environmental organizations think of us when they want to share their environmental news, events, and media releases. We simply can’t help but share what comes across our desk, in box, mail box, or even what we see when walking down the street.
Archiving for future access.
Basic information (or metadata) such as the title, author, description and the original ULR address is captured and stored in our database. Just like a library, thegreenjournal attempts to index information and add to thegreenpages.ca’s network unique niche of Canadian environmental information.
We do not claim to own or claim authorship of the information that is shared on thegreenjournal.ca.
Everything on this site as well as our other network sites can be searched on thegreensearch.ca search engine (powered by good ‘ol Google).
Why we do it.
New articles, videos, reports, web sites, and every possible digital content imaginable appear on the web almost every minute from dozens of publications and web sites. We can do our best to read them all and even collect them in an RSS reader to read them later. But in reality, there is too much information out there and what we do is provide Canadians with a slice of what the World Wide Web has to offer – a network dedicated to sharing Canadian environmental information.
If you have any more questions or would like to distribute your organization’s content throughout our network, send us a message using our general contact form.
